Just like the new Marathon Supreme (read review) that I reviewed some time ago, the Almotion uses the very low rolling resistance OneStar compound that is also used on Schwalbe's top of the line road bike tires.I'm reviewing the non-tubeless rated "dynamic casing" version of the Almotion in the 40-622. As the Marathon Almotion now comes with the Addix compound as well, it was high time to do a re-test of the latest version

At 60psi, the Schwalbe Marathon Almotion Onestar (fastest touring-specific tire) is at 17.1w with tubes (that version isn't compatible with tubeless) Top priorities are: 1 grip for gravel and wet roads 2 comfort 3 weight and rolling resistance They don't test those two categories at the exact same pressures, but I think if you brought the Almotions down to 55psi they would be very close (with tubes).
